THE City of Casey is looking for creative young minds to join the National Youth Week Committee and help create fantastic celebrations for young people.
The events will be held during next year’s National Youth Week in April.
Casey mayor Kevin Bradford said National Youth Week’s popularity in Casey was growing each year.
He said with the city’s huge population of young people council wanted more young people to get involved and help create events and activities that young people across Casey could be a part of.
“Casey’s Youth Services will be holding committee meetings from this month onwards to plan ahead for this exciting week and will apply for additional funding from the State Government, so today is a good day to consider joining the committee,” Cr Bradford said.
Cr Bradford said joining the National Youth Week Committee was a chance for young residents aged 12 to 25 to meet new people and learn new skills. Getting involved may help to develop skills such as event management, promotions, artwork and networking. The City of Casey’s Youth Services Team will support the committee.
