AUDIENCES were rolling in the aisles recently when Berwick’s Kambrya College took to the stage in its latest musical – Robin Da Hood.
The interactive show has been dubbed a merry success by all involved, with students performing to a full house at both evening performances.
Drama and music teacher Catherine Lyons and fellow teaching colleague John Hewat directed the production which is an eclectic interpretation of Robin the Hood.
Kambrya’s biannual full musical production showcased a combination of decades, fashions, music and theatre styles with its interpretation.
Both directors shared their creative roles with students allowing them to improvise, negotiate and interpret their character profiles and lines.
Ms Lyons said the show had been hugely successful and enjoyed by all.
She said thoughts had already turned to the school’s next production.
“The definite feedback from people is that they want more of this.
“Everyone’s hard work has paid off and we are so proud of the students,” Ms Lyons said.
