POLICE have arrested a Narre Warren man in relation to a spate of armed robberies and attempted armed robberies last month.
The 31-year-old has been charged in relation to an armed hold-up at the drive-through bottle shop of the Prince Mark Hotel in Doveton on Sunday, 17 September.
Police have also charged the man in relation to an armed hold up at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Springvale, an attempted armed robbery at a Springvale newsagency and another attempted armed robbery at a Clayton service station.
All incidents occurred in September.
Detective Senior Constable Phil Ross of Embona Taskforce said the man had also been charged with three counts of theft of a motor car and two other counts of theft.
The man has been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in December.
