Prominent barrister to address Rotary

THE Rotary Club of Narre Warren has attracted a top speaker to its annual business dinner.
Prominent barrister Dyson Hore-Lacy will address the dinner on Wednesday, 18 October at the Taverner Hotel Fountain Gate, Westfield Fountain Gate Shopping Centre, Narre Warren, from 7pm.
Mr Hore-Lacy has been involved in many controversial cases during his legal career and was the last president of the VFL Fitzroy Football Club prior to its merger with Brisbane to form the Brisbane Lions.
He is also well known for his work with indigenous people and as an author.
The Rotary Club of Narre Warren’s annual business dinner is a major part of its vocational service program each year and this year, with Mr Hore-Lacy as the guest speaker, past District Governor Ray Stewart said it was an event not to be missed.
Mr Stewart said non-members who wanted to attend and hear Mr Hore-Lacy’s address would be made welcome by the Rotary Club.
The cost is $35 with part of the proceeds from the evening going to Autism Behaviour Intervention Association, a cause that is supported by Mr Hore-Lacy.
