Online murder bid charge

A 29-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with attempted murder following an altercation with a Berwick woman he met on the internet.
Narre Warren detectives have also charged Scott Murdoch of Pakenham with intentionally causing serious injury and theft of a motorcar.
Police said the charges related to an incident at a Pioneer Court home in Berwick on Tuesday, 25 September, where a 37-year-old Berwick woman received stab wounds to the neck and several lacerations to her body and injuries to her jaw.
The woman was taken to Dandenong Hospital for treatment and police this week said she was still receiving medical attention.
Mr Murdoch was remanded in custody and is listed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 9 January 2007 for a committal mention.
