Police in luck with Strike Two, too

A NEW police operation in Casey has achieved staggering results with more than 270 road offences detected.
Operation Strike Two was launched almost two months ago with police making their presence felt in all parts of Casey.
On seven occasions police officers have been out in force, charging a total 232 people with 271 separate offences.
Sergeant Pat McGavigan of Casey Traffic Management Unit said the operation would continue to target people flouting the law in all parts of Casey.
The operation has already been run in Berwick, Doveton, Cranbourne, Hampton Park, Hallam and along the Princes Highway.
Since starting the operation police have caught 70 people for not wearing a seatbelt, 40 for driving while talking on a mobile phone, 52 for driving unregistered vehicles, 17 unregistered and suspended drivers and another 17 unlicensed drivers.
