MUSICALLY minded thieves stole expensive recording equipment and an instrument when they broke into a Narre Warren North house last week.
Police said the burglars smashed the front window of the Belgrave-Hallam Road property and entered the house sometime between 6pm last Thursday and 1pm the following day.
A keyboard, recording unit, microphone and computer were all stolen during the burglary. The items were valued at $12,000.
Narre Warren Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Wilcox said there was a chance the thieves knew the specialised music equipment was in the house when they entered.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Narre Warren police on 9705 3111.
