RESIDENTS will now be able to have personal papers signed quickly at Narre Warren Police station.
From next week, local Justices of the Peace will be available at the station from 2pm to 6pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to sign statutory declarations and other documents.
This initiative has already proved successful at the Dandenong Police station.
It helps foster stronger relationships between police and the community and relieves police resources.
Residents can still go to the station out of these hours to have their personal documents signed and witnessed, but local police have said it will be much quicker to come to the station within the designated hours.
