HILLSMEADE Primary School won the first Willow Wizard Primary Schools Cup for 2006.
The 10-10 cricket competition was held at Strathaird Reserve and hosted by Maranatha Methodist Cricket Club.
It was sponsored by John Hayes and Willow Wizard and was a first in the City of Casey.
The matches were umpired by James Alderson, Aggie D’Mello, Mev King, Dennis Carroll and Denver Lewis, while Cricket Victoria supported the event and provided showbags for each player.
Mr Hayes congratulated children, parents, teachers and officials on their performance and efforts over the five-week event and said he was proud to have been involved as a major sponsor.
