And this year it will be extra special when they celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on 21 December.
The couple lived throughout the Gippsland area for some time before settling closer to their family in Hallam, and haven’t looked back since.
Blue and Bridie were given City of Casey community volunteer awards this year for their 12-year commitment to the Hallam Senior Citizens Club.
Family and friends from all over Victoria will travel to the Berwick Bowling Club for the big day, with Blue and Bridie set to receive congratulatory letters from the Queen, the Prime Minister, the Premier and the Governor-General.
