A CAR thief put a four-wheel drive beyond its off-road limits recently when it ended up submerged in a drain.
The green 2006 Jeep Cherokee was stolen from outside a Minak Close house in Narre Warren South between 11pm on 24 December and 6am on 26 December.
The car was discovered dumped in the Hampton Park drain near Glenora Way on Boxing Day.
Police said the $38,000 vehicle suffered extensive panel and water damage.
