Workshop ideas in the garden

THE Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne is running a series of workshops to help gardeners throughout autumn.
Workshops include clean up your garden – a one-hour session including useful tips on the best time of year to plant, rethinking garden design and renovating areas wilting from the drought.
Planting for autumn colour participants will join a tour to learn more about Australian plants that can provide autumn colour and flowering over a long period.
The scented gardens workshop will tickle the senses of anyone interested in creating a sensory space in their own garden.
The workshops will be held at the recent national tourism award-winning Australian Garden.
Manager public programs Sharon Willoughby said the programs were ideal for anyone wanting practical and easy to use advice.
She said autumn was a great time of year to exercise creative passions.
Clean up your garden runs every Thursday in March, planting for autumn colour runs Thursdays in April, and scented gardens runs Thursdays in May, with each session from 11.30am to 12.30pm.
Bookings are essential. Each session costs $6.50 for adults and $5.50 for children and concession.
