Plenty to chew over

BUSINESS in Casey was the topic on everyone’s lips at the Mayor’s Business Lunch last week.
Representatives from 35 local businesses attended lunch with City of Casey mayor Amanda Stapledon on Wednesday 25 September at the Civic Centre in Narre Warren. The business lunches provide Casey businesses with the opportunity to meet and have discussions with the mayor.
Cr Stapledon said it was a good opportunity to discuss the issues and challenges that business were facing in the day-to-day operation of their businesses.
“With so many businesses operating in Casey, the council is committed to understanding how to respond to their needs to ensure they are able to continually innovate and thrive,” she said.
“Economic development is one of the council’s key priorities, with a focus on growing existing businesses and attracting new ones to increase the number of locally available jobs, decrease the journey to work for residents and to ensure the prosperity of the shops, businesses and commercial activities in Casey.”
