POLICE have charged a man in relation to a sexual assault on a nine-year-old Narre Warren girl.
Detectives charged the 22-year-old Springvale resident over the assault at Chadstone Shopping Centre last Tuesday week. Sexual Crime Squad investigators attended a shopping centre in Clayton last Saturday and arrested Mohammad Sehnawaz Khan.
Mr Khan will appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 8 June to face charges of abduction, false imprisonment, three counts of indecent assault and three counts of indecent act in the presence of a child under 16.
Police said they acted after an anonymous tip from the public.
