THE greens at Hampton Park Bowls Clubs were turned pink on Sunday to raise money for the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA).
The club hosted its annul Pink Breakfast on Sunday morning and raised $1400 for BCNA.
Hampton Park Bowls Club’s Pink Breakfast convenor Gwen Clough said she was thrilled by the continued success of their event.
“Without fail we receive such generous support from the local community and this year we have reached our best result yet, raising $1400,” she said.
“I am humbled by their generosity and I am so pleased that we were able to do our bit to raise funds and provide worthwhile support for those affected by breast cancer.”
Narre Warren South MP Judith Graley joined with the club for the annual event.
“During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I am lucky enough to be involved in a range of wonderful events in our local community that provide immeasurable support to those affected by breast cancer,” she said.
“Once again the outstanding women of the Hampton Park Bowls Club have put on an enjoyable event and raised much-needed funds for Breast Cancer Network Australia.
“It was touching to read through all the beautiful messages left on the many Pink Ladies we planted.
“Congratulations to Gwen Clough, Ellen Smith, Margaret Baker, June Damon and the delightful team of pink ladies for all their efforts.”
