New chapter for school library

EUMEMMERRING Primary School students now have five thousands more reasons to smile after their library was upgraded recently.
The $5000 facelift resulted in the 30-year old building receiving new shelving, extra modern furniture and an overall spruce up of the complex.
The money was won in a community competition after school council member and parent Anne Vella nominated the school.
The grant was donated through the Soy Life Community Fund program.
Ms Vella said the facelift would bring extra students into the library and help foster their interest in reading.
“We need to attract the students to the library so they will use the resources we have more effectively,” she said.
Other schools and community groups can follow Eumemmerring Primary School’s lead and apply for a grant.
One $5000 grant is awarded each month.
Interested groups can enter by logging on to www.soylife.com.au.
