Libraries turn fun centres

CASEY kids have been escaping the heat at local libraries this week and enjoying some free fun-filled activities.
The Casey-Cardinia Library Corporation has been hosting free events and activities at all the Casey libraries to offer children some school holiday fun.
Drawing classes, teddy bear picnics, craft and reading activities and reptile encounters were all part of the school holiday fun.
Plenty of children turned out for the Zoo Tales activity at Cranbourne Library on Tuesday, where they read animal stories and made animal masks.
The ‘Pirates of the Candy Beans shows was a popular choice at the Hampton Park Library on Tuesday, where Captain Jack Spanner and his friends entertained the children with songs, comedy and magic.
There are still a number of free activities to be held this week and next. Visit www.tinyurl.com/cclchols for details.
