A HAMPTON Park man remains in hospital after being stabbed at his home on Friday night by an unidentified attacker.
The victim was punched in the stomach and stabbed at his Central Road residence, between 9.30pm and 10pm on Friday, after he heard someone scratching at his front door and went to investigate.
The victim’s wife found her husband injured on the ground after the assault and he was taken to The Alfred hospital with a “serious” stab wound.
Casey CIU Detective Andrew Mutch said the attack appeared to be random and that there was nothing to suggest otherwise.
No arrests have been made in relation to the attack.
