A BERWICK man has been remanded in custody and will appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ court today following the discovery of an alleged drugs lab.
The Berwick man was one of three arrested by police on Tuesday.
The alleged clandestine lab was found disassembled in a property in Anne Street, Berwick, where a large quantity of methamphetamine, a firearm, ammunition and liquid and gas chemicals were also allegedly found.
Explosives were also allegedly discovered at the property and had to be transported by a Victoria Police arson chemist.
Police also allege that a stolen boat, 10 stolen chainsaws and an amount of other stolen property were found at the residence.
The 27-year-old Berwick man, a 32-year-old Pakenham man and a 38-year-old man from Upper Beaconsfield were taken into custody at 9.30pm on Tuesday.
The Pakenham man was charged and released on bail, to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court in March. The man from Upper Beaconsfield was released pending summons.
