THE spirit of Anzac Day is alive and well in Endeavour Hills with hundreds turning out to a touching service on Monday.
The Dandenong RSL organised the event that took place at the recently restored Endeavour Hills War Memorial.
Diggers rubbed shoulders with the younger generation as local students paid their respects to those who served with the Australian Defence Force.
A shiver went down the spine of many as a bugler pierced the silence with the Last Post.
Casey mayor Colin Butler spoke at the ceremony alongside members of the High School Australian Navy Cadets and St Paul Apostle South students.
