Kitchen Rulz its community

HAMPTON Park will resemble a scene from My Kitchen Rules this Saturday as local community groups prepare to whip up their best creation in a good old fashioned cook-off.
The Hampton Park Networking Group (HPNG), in partnership with the Hampton Park Community Garden, is hosting its annual Community Kitchen Rulz from 9am to 2pm on Saturday, with something for the whole community to join in the fun.
There is something for the whole family with an array of market stalls, homemade baked goodies, food tasting, traditional Devonshire tea and cooking competitions.
The bake-off is one of the main features of the day, where entries from across the community will be judged and prizes handed out for the best creations.
There are four categories – cake, savoury, sweet and kids class.
Back for the second year, another highlight will be the live cook-off between the HPNG, Lynbrook Residents Association and Spirit of Cranbourne group.
In an outdoor cooking battle, the groups will compete using items from a mystery box and mystery equipment.
The event will be held at Hampton Park Uniting Place, corner Hallam Road and Coral Drive, Hampton Park.
To find out more or get an entry form to enter the bake-off visit www.hpng.com.au or email or email enquiries@hpng.com.au.
