Missing Mustang spotted

THIEVES who stole a Narre Warren North man’s dream Mustang at the weekend were spotted at a Dandenong service station early this morning.
The distinctive 2006 blue Mustang, which is worth $70,000, was taken from a house in Jacques Road, Narre Warren North, some time between Friday 2 May and Monday 5 May.
Police have ascertained that the vehicle was used at the BP service station on the corner of Stud and Heatherton roads, Dandenong, about 1.15am this morning.
It was last seen driving north on Stud Road and is believed to have had four people in it.
Senior Constable Kate Marjoram said the owner was a retiree who had bought the vehicle two years ago as a retirement investment.
“He’s absolutely devastated by the loss,” she said.
“We are doing all we can to recover the car and get it back to him but we need the community’s help.
“It’s quite an eye-catching car, so we think that it’s possible that someone might have seen it.”
Police have issued a photo of the car in the hope that someone in the community might have information regarding its whereabouts.
Anyone with any information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au.
