Young managers for market day

THERE was a merry mood permeating throughout Fountain Gate Secondary College last Friday when the school held its annual Market Day.
The Market Day, run by the school’s year 11 business management class, is an opportunity for the students to plan, organise, and prepare advertising campaigns and research the elements involved in starting up a small business.
Business management teachers Nikki Hatz and Pelin Karakuyu guided and advised the students on how to run a small business, which involved writing a business plan.
The two teachers were very impressed with the students’ effort and the quality of final products on show, including assorted bagels, cupcakes, pizza, fairy floss and frozen yoghurt, plus many other creative and delicious foods.
News photographer Stewart Chambers was there to capture the action and sample some of the food.
