Dandenong gets a Bendigo battering

DANDENONG City’s trip to Bendigo yielded only a 2-4 loss as Bendigo FC stormed past City for its second win of the season.
Goals to Damien Miskulin and Goran Jozeljic weren’t enough to gain victory as the home side thumped home four of its own.
Dandenong City falls to 11th on the NPL1 ladder and hosts Sunshine George Cross SC on Saturday from 3pm.

The City of Casey’s last two hopes – Doveton SC and Berwick City – fell at the round of 32 to NPL powerhouses Dandenong Thunder and South Melbourne respectively.
Ashley Savanah slotted a major for Berwick City against the visiting South Melbourne, but the South rose again to claim a comfortable 4-1 win.
Thunder eases past their cross-town challengers 3-1 to advance easily into the top 16.
WOMEN’S PREMIER LEAGUE/STATE LEAGUE
Casey Comets smashed Heidelberg United 3-1 at home on Friday night. Casey Comets face FFV Under 17 Girls at the State Football Centre on Saturday.
Berwick City found two goals through Natalie Holmes and Shirley Anthony to take a 2-1 win over Doncaster Rovers. City moves up to sixth on the State League 1 ladder and faces South Yarra away.
MEN’S STATE LEAGUES
Casey Comets continued their rampage in State League 1 with a 5-0 victory over Southern Stars FC. Anthony Selemidis and Marce Janneker drilled a brace each in the comprehensive victory that bumps Casey to fourth on the State League 1 South East ladder.
An Orlando Meijas hat-trick led a 5-0 thumping of Frankston Pines by Berwick City with Nick Lasanc and Michael Franco also snaring a goal apiece in the rout.
Doveton couldn’t hold off Heatherton United, despite the best efforts of Matt Williams and Matt Evans and their goal-scoring efforts.
