Crash traps driver

A NARRE Warren South man suffered serious injuries when he was involved in a car crash in Hallam on Tuesday.
The 39-year-old motorist was trapped in his Toyota van for about 45 minutes after it collided with a Mazda utility on Hallam South Road about 11.20am.
He was airlifted to The Alfred hospital and treated for serious injuries to the lower part of his body as well as minor facial injuries.
The driver of the utility, a 36-year-old Hallam man, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Casey Traffic Management Unit (TMU) officers attended the crash site along with CFA and ambulance personnel.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Casey TMU on 9705 3111.
