Search for meaning

Beaconhills College students are set to present the colourful musical production of Pippin from 15-17 May at the College’s Berwick Campus.
The circus-inspired production tells the story of Pippin, who is the son of the Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne, as he searches for meaning in his life.
The college’s head of performing arts Wes Smith said the original Broadway production of Pippin combined suggestions of medieval times in its sets and costumes.
“However, our show has been more heavily influenced by the current Broadway production and its circus motif,” Mr Smith said.
He said the cast and crew of 100 or so Middle and Senior School students and staff had worked hard to rehearse for what should be a “fantastic show”.
There is also a live orchestra made up of students and staff.
Pippin will be performed at 7pm on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 May with a 1pm performance on Saturday 17 May.
