Casey’s young talent is not just lying idle

MOVE over Australian Idol – Casey Idol is here.
The Casey Idol final is on 2 June with 18 of Casey’s most talented young performers competing for prizes in the open and primary school categories.
The final promises to be a performing arts spectacular featuring some amazing talent with solo artists, bands, dancers and instrumentalists.
Not only will guests be treated to a great night’s entertainment but they will also be supporting local not-for-profit groups and organisations as all proceeds from the concert will go back in our community through the Mayoral Charity Fund.
Show organisers, councillors Janet Halsall and Wayne Smith, said they are looking forward to the event.
“Casey Idol will be a terrific night of entertainment close to home, and a bargain at only $5 a ticket at the door.
“The standard of the talent is excellent and I’m sure these young performers will give it everything they’ve got,” Cr Halsall said.
“This is the second Casey Idol council has organised and it’s gearing up to be the biggest and the best.
“It was fantastic to see the talent of more than 60 young people at the auditions and these 18 finalists really are stars of the future,” Cr Smith said.
The Casey Idol final will be held at 7pm on Saturday, 2 June at Arthur Wren Hall, Stuart Avenue in Hampton Park.
Tickets cost $5 each and are available at the door from 4pm.
