FIVE fire trucks were called to a factory fire in Hallam yesterday that started in a dust extractor.
Crews from both the Hallam and Dandenong CFA were called to the Hallam South Road site at 11.29am and had the fire contained in the extractor by 11.48am.
The fire-fighters who quelled the blaze were each required to wear a breathing apparatus.
WorkSafe was soon notified and factory workers were given the all clear to return to the site just after midday.
