Monash’s best pick up awards

THE best of Monash University’s Berwick business and economics faculty was on show at an awards evening last week.
About 100 people attended the event at the Clyde Road campus and applauded the top students for their efforts during the 2006 academic year.
Several local students were among the prestigious list of winners including Narre Warren South resident Jessica Rominger.
Ms Rominger was the star of the show as she took out three awards on the night.
She won best student in first-year accounting, top student in introductory accounting and top student in introductory micro-economic.
Other local winners included Berwick’s Aishwarya Sing and Elise Camenzuli, Endeavour Hills resident Brittney Johnston and Hallam student Susan Rodrigues.
Casey mayor Colin Butler was the guest speaker on the night and was joined by pro vice chancellor Professor Phillip Steele in addressing the crowd.
