WOULD-BE burglars smashed a window and tried to gain entry to a house in Doveton in the early hours of Monday.
About 12.50am they smashed the bedroom window then tried to get into the front door of a house in Paperbark Street, Doveton.
One person was home at the time and called police, who attended the property with the canine unit, but did not locate anyone.
