Watch their members swell

By BRIDGET SCOTT

CASEY Neighbourhood Watch will hold its annual general meeting (AGM) next week and members have high hopes to attract more people to their group.
Jennifer Baird from the group said the AGM will be held next Wednesday 12 November and the organisers hope a few people will come along to join up.
“We are trying to rebuild it,” she said.
Ms Baird said the City of Casey was a large area to deal with and they would welcome any more volunteers.
The group is behind a number of community events which include the family day out that was held at the Cranbourne Racecourse on Sunday 26 October.
Ms Baird said this was a free event which they run bi-annually for the community.
“It’s a great way to bring the community together,” she said.
“It’s a lovely venue, and we always try to make it a free day.”
“We try and bring together all of the voluntary groups that we can get,” Ms Baird said. She said the Casey Neighbourhood Watch is one of the neighbourhood watch groups in Victoria which works in “the best direction with Neighbourhood Watch Victoria.”
The AGM will be held at the Civic Centre along Magid Drive, Narre Warren at 7.30pm with all welcome.
