Twisted priorities

I AM just so angry with our city council and their warped and twisted priorities.
Here we have a council that is spending our money sucking up to their Liberal masters in Spring Street, putting up East/West Link billboards around and, according to Cr Sam Aziz, a much needed pop-up advocacy stand at Westfield Fountain Gate.
But the same councillor that spends so much money and energy in promoting Liberal policies couldn’t care less about a senior citizen crossing at Pound Road with a light. According to him “Council is aware of the difficulties associated with crossing this road” (Seniors Fear Crossing Road, News, 30 October).
I don’t see posters and billboards plastered everywhere asking for a traffic light.
What about another traffic light at the intersection of Pound Road and Shrives Road? Or don’t we matter?
Instead of telling us what we want, how about you ask us what we want.
Florin Bordei,
Hampton Park.
