Keep on printing

BOTANIC Ridge estate has been established for several years now and over the years has grown into a well-established and thriving community.
For years we have received an abundance of junk mail but no local paper delivery. I’ve contacted both the Cranbourne News and the Cranbourne Leader several times over the years, first to be told that the area was too small for delivery, but now that the area has grown I was told two years ago by both papers that there were no plans to extend the delivery of local papers, as the future of print media was online.
The past two weeks we have come home to find the Cranbourne News in our letterbox. I don’t know why there has been a change of heart, perhaps it’s part of the lead-up to the state election – whatever the reason, it’s great!
It is lovely to once again feel a part of the broader community by being able to sit down with a cup of tea and read the local news. I thought you may also like to know that the sudden appearance of the local paper has created a lot of happy chatter on our community Facebook page.
Keep up the great work!
Narelle Phillips,
Cranbourne.
