Dirty as it gets

SO TRUE Mr Giles (News, 20 November). Ignorant voters don’t realise that rogue unions control the Labor Party when they are in office. In my 44 years of voting, this is the dirtiest campaign that I have ever seen, run by Labor and the unions.
I take offence to the propaganda sent to my wife by Judith Graley. How far can a person distort the facts before they become a blatant lie?
Fact – all budgets, in all areas, have been increased by a lot over the last state Labor Government budget.
It is the elected government’s right to cut waste and useless projects and to add where it will be of most good.
Many TAFE courses were useless to get a job so they were cut. That money was all put back into education where it is actually needed, a concept that the Labor Party is never able to grasp.
Over the past four years, I see a lot of roadworks across the state. Only the blind will believe what you say about that Ms Graley. And to blame Tony Abbott for losing Holden, you preach to the completely ignorant.
Under the Rudd/Gillard governments we lost Mitsubushi and Ford. Holden made their mind up before Abbott was elected. And maybe the carbon tax was the last nail in their coffin.
Peter Werry,
Narre Warren.
