It’s primary school musical

IT WAS time for the students to take centre stage.
Last month the students from Oatlands Primary School, Narre Warren, performed their annual production, drawing on a special theme – A Musical Time Warp.
Principal Wes Holloway said the whole school, numbering over 800 students, took park in the production.
“The dance and movement give the students the opportunity to participate in a choreographed dance routine within their own grade,” he said.
“The students worked with professional dance instructors, Shaun Harvey and Katie Davies, to create a dance routine to a given piece of music from different musical genres.”
Mr Holloway said Term 4 was the time when the Oatlands Primary students focused on dance and movement as part of their physical education lessons.
“It has been an absolute pleasure watching our students flourish and shine on stage over the past four weeks of rehearsals,” he said.
