CASEY and Cardinia business owners shared in an important lunch earlier this month.
The lunch was organised for the local home based business owners to discuss their ideas and the opportunities and challenges they face in working in the Casey and Cardinia regions.
Helping Hand Is Here director Michelle Jankovic said the lunch was a success, providing guests with new contacts and additional information.
“It was a brilliant opportunity to meet and chat with like-minded home based business owners, discussing the benefits and challenges of working from home,” she said.
“And realising the potential to not tackle peak hour traffic and drive outside our wonderful region to do business.
“If we become more aware of the high quality home based businesses within our region, we could potentially not travel far from home.”
Casey Mayor Mick Morland and Cardinia Mayor Leticia Wilmot attended the lunch to better understand how they and their respective councils can better support home based businesses within their regions.
