It’s a day for all

AUSTRALIA Day across the state will offer fun for everyone with exciting activities to celebrate what’s great in our state.
Visit the Australia Day Victoria website for what’s on in your area on January 26. http://www.australiaday.vic.gov.au/whats-on/regional-and-rural-events/
If you’re heading to Melbourne, you can share in the colour and movement of a vibrant street parade, experience the formalities of a flag raising ceremony, participate in arts, craft and sporting activities and try a diverse range of foods.
Australia Day is also a great opportunity to celebrate our multiculturalism and the newest members of our community at the many citizenship ceremonies held on January 26.
It’s also a time to remember the generosity and courage of our emergency service workers and volunteers, who keep us safe throughout the summer.
This Australia Day falls during the Centenary of Anzac. Descendants of those who served in World War I will march down Swanston Street in Melbourne in recognition of the service and sacrifice of so many.
