Police hunt for hardware thief

POLICE are hunting for a hardware thief who has raided stores in Narre Warren and Hallam over the last few months.
The burglaries have occurred at several stores including Bunnings, Bowens and Mitre 10, between March and May.
Items stolen include power tools, in particular Paslode nail guns and drills.
The same thief is also thought to have broken into hardware stores in the Knox area.
Police said the security alarm is often activated during each raid, however, the man continues with the burglary.
Two images of a man, police believe can assist them with their investigation, have been released.
The man is described as being aged between 25 and 40 years, unshaven, has brown, short hair and is about 160cm tall with a medium build.
Police are calling on anyone who might be able to help identify the man in the images to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to visit www.crimestopers.com.au.
