Mayor’s message:

FOR decades the Berwick Show has been combining the best of country lifestyle and
carnival atmosphere to produce a great agriculture and horticulture show enjoyed by
people across Casey and the south east.
As mayor, I’m thrilled that our municipality is home to this great community event and
I am looking forward to its return in 2015.
Council is proud to be the major sponsor again this year, given the show’s rich and
colourful history as the oldest agricultural show of its kind in Victoria.
The show brings joy to Casey families each year, as well as attracting people from
across the state, who come and enjoy all that the show has to offer.
Whether you want to take in the country lifestyle and enjoy some local produce, or
you’re more a thrill seeker looking to make the most of the carnival rides, the show
has something for everyone.
The Berwick and District Agricultural and Horticultural Society deserve to be
acknowledged for the great work they do behind the scenes to make this much-loved
and highly-anticipated event possible.
Without dedicated and passionate volunteers, events like the Berwick Show, which
add so much to community life and making Casey a great place to live, would not be
possible.
Thank you to all those who have contributed to organising this year’s event. I’m
looking forward to seeing what you’ve brought together to make what I’m sure will be
another successful show.
Each year, council gets involved in the show in a number of ways and this year will
be no exception.
The City of Casey will again have an exhibit, located at the eastern end of the main
pavilion, and is sponsoring a number of the agriculture and horticulture competitions.
Council’s exhibit will include a fun social media feature using Instagram, Casey
