Knife raid on pharmacy

A MAN armed with a knife escaped with cash after he held up a Hampton Park pharmacy on Sunday night.
Police said the man entered a Nova pharmacy at the corner of Stuart Avenue and Fordholm Road at about 6pm.
He then produced a knife and went behind the counter and demanded the attendant open the cash drawer.
The bandit then took a quantity of money from the register and fled on foot.
There were a number of customers and staff in the pharmacy at the time of the robbery.
The bandit wore a cap and hooded top.
