MOSSGIEL Park Primary – start your engines!
Students from the Endeavour Hills primary school held its biennial Grand Prix fundraiser last Friday, ahead of Melbourne’s big race.
In 2013 the school raised more than $8000, with the students and their families working very hard in the last few months to put together their handheld cardboard cars to ensure they’re in prime racing condition.
The students raised money for the event through sponsors who either provide donations or pledge a certain amount of money per lap that the children walk.
The Mossgiel students, who are encouraged to walk 20 laps, finally got to take their wheels out for a spin and News photographer STEWART CHAMBERS made sure he was on the sidelines for the big race. 135823
