Swimmers are robbed

MEMBERS of a local swim team were robbed while walking through a car park near Fountain Gate Shopping Centre last Friday night.
Police said four swimmers left the Casey ARC at about 7.30pm and saw a large group of youths.
The four were approached by one member of the group who had what the victims thought was a knife.
The assailant demanded money and the four victims, afraid of being injured, handed over a small amount of cash each.
The attacker then walked back to the group.
Police were notified and spoke with a group of youths and located a blue gas stove ignition gun, which the victims had mistakenly believed to be the knife.
Police spoke with two people who were later released with investigations continuing.
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
