More avenues, more honour

CASEY Council will continue to look into the viability of creating three new Avenues of Honour in Casey.
Cr Wayne Smith last week said council would seek further consultation with VicRoads and the federal and state governments over the possibility of creating an Avenue of Honour in Hallam Road, Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road, and Heatherton Road.
Cr Smith proposed a new avenue for the recently redeveloped Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road last month, but said it was important the entire city benefitted from the plan.
The existing Avenues of Honour in Casey include High Street in Berwick, South Gippsland Highway in Cranbourne, Memorial Drive in Narre Warren North, Harkaway Road in Harkaway, Church Street in Berwick, South Gippsland Highway in Tooradin and Wilson and Scanlan Streets in Berwick.
