HARRY Potter, Shrek and Cinderella were just a few of the many well-known characters present at Chalcot Lodge Primary School recently.
The famous faces were all part of the celebrations during the Endeavour Hills school’s Literacy and Numeracy week.
Highlights of the weeklong event included a huge book parade with students and teachers dressing as their favourite book characters.
Author Nick Place, accompanied by his friendly Labradoodle, also visited the school to talk about the writing process and show students how to expand their creativity.
The youngsters had a laugh when Mr Place sketched book characters and changed his voice to portray the various characters that feature in his books.
A separate event involved students trying to solve the mathematical puzzles, which involved number, space and estimation tasks.
