LOCAL police officers will head to Fountain Gate and Endeavour Hills McDonald’s tomorrow (Friday) to help raise money for public hospitals.
The fundraising effort is all part of the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation Drive-Thru Challenge.
Between 6pm and 7pm $1 from all drive-through orders will go towards helping fund emergency and trauma facilities in Victoria’s public hospitals.
Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation CEO Neil Soullier said the foundation raised money for public hospital projects to perpetuate the memory of Victoria Police memberskilled in the line of duty.
So far the foundation had allocated more than $4 million to community projects that provided specialised care to more than 65,000 patients each year, he said.
McDonald’s official Mike Rodgers said more than $33,000 was raised for the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation last year.
“The organisation is dedicated to improving public hospital facilities throughout Victoria for the benefit of local communities and we are proud to support them again this year,” he said.
