THE show is coming to town!
The third Doveton Show is on next Sunday and it is set to be the biggest event yet.
Myuna Farm will host the annual show that will have many new features along with the old classics such as animal rides and show bags.
The fun-filled day of rides and activities will offer something for the whole family and showcase what the Doveton – Eumemmerring community has to offer.
A new event this year is the South East Asian Festival, which will showcase an array of local talent that will perform on the main stage.
Many types of delicious food from around Asia will also be available.
The youngsters won’t miss out either with the kinder corner offering children under five rides and a wide variety of sideshow games.
As always there will be rides, amusements and fun activities for the kids including train and pony rides, goat milking, sheep-shearing and tractor plough demonstrations.
Arts and crafts stalls, animal shows, food stalls and a treasure hunt will also be on offer.
Dingo Des, the show’s mascot, will be back as will the very popular art, craft and cake decorating competitions.
The Sports paddock is back with a great range of fun sporting demonstrations and activities run by the YMCA and the Go For Your Life van.
The Scouts will be setting up camp to show what Scouting is all about.
The events committee is recruiting for volunteers on the day.
Any community members interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact Neighbourhood Renewal on 9791 4760.
Entry is by optional gold coin donation.
Doveton Show Day will start at 11am through to 5pm on Sunday 23 September at Myuna Farm, 182 Kidds Road, Doveton.
