INDIVIDUALS of all abilities will be on show when Fountain Gate Tennis Club hosts its inaugural Casey has Talent tennis tournament from Monday to Friday next week.
The event is free to enter and includes under 10s through to open men’s and ladies’ competitions.
Fountain Gate, together with the City of Casey, made substantial upgrades to its facilities last year to cater for people with disabilities.
Club secretary Marlene Fox believes this will enable a broad spectrum of players to take part in the tournament.
“We want to let people in the City of Casey know what great tennis there is in the area, and it gives individuals of all abilities the chance to join in mainstream tennis,” she said.
“It’s a knockout tournament, then on the final day everybody is invited back for a fun day with a free barbecue.
“We are hoping for it to become an annual thing if we get a good turnout.”
Fountain Gate Tennis Club is on the corner of Raven Crescent and Princes Highway, Narre Warren.
