Four escape after shots fired into house

By CAM LUCADOU-WELLS

TWO adults and two children escaped injury after bullets were fired into their Beaconsfield house during a drive-by shooting on Tuesday night.
Several loud shots rang out from a passing car just before 11pm puncturing the Fieldstone Boulevard home’s lounge room window and internal walls.
The house’s front door and a car parked in the driveway were also hit by bullets.
The victims have yet to publicly comment on the shooting.
Neighbours spoke of their fear and surprise at the attack in the quiet housing estate, but knew little about the victims.
A next-door resident said she initially dismissed the shots as loud firecrackers let off by errant teenagers.
A neighbour across the road immediately recognised the bangs were bullets and initially didn’t know where they were being directed.
“It’s pretty scary,” he said from behind a heavy screen door.
Police would not comment on whether there was a link to a fire at a Seville tattoo parlour at 1.50am on Wednesday.
Any information on the shooting to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppersvic.com.au
