POLICE are investigating an explosion after a commercial flare was thrown behind a Narre Warren South property on the weekend.
Residents inside the McCartney Drive house were woken up by the explosion outside which occurred about 4.15am on Sunday 17 May.
However it’s understood the explosion wasn’t reported to police until later that morning.
Detectives have determined that the explosion occurred as a result of a commercial flare and are continuing to investigate the incident.
