Grandparents to take centre stage

CASEY’S grandparents are not being forgotten.
As part of the 2007 Ageing Positively Festival, the City of Casey will hold two celebrating grandparenting forums next month.
The free events provide an opportunity for grandparents to celebrate their role in the community, find out about the support available to grandparents and meet other grandparents.
Casey manager of community development Janette Green said the events would provide a wonderful opportunity for grandparents to meet and learn more about Casey’s strategies relating to children and families.
“There will also be information on hand from a number of organisations and service providers,” Ms Green said.
Keynote speaker for the event will be Grandparents Victoria director Anne McLeish and local schools will provide entertainment.
